About Me

Everyday should be a celebration, but there are occasions that can make your ‘everyday’ a little more extraordinary. These celebrations should be beautiful, stylized reflections of you and your personality, no one else---you’re truly inspirational.

                                                            * * * * *

I enjoy wearing many different hats and am constantly entertaining new ideas. Currently, I am a marketer, independent artist and writer, and now attempting to venture into event planning (starting with this lovely blog). Planning events is something I have always enjoyed with my desire for details, an artistic flair for design, and ability to absolutely thrive off of organization!

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Communications and am currently working on my Master's in Communications and Journalism (not really necessary, I know, but a bucket list item none the less).

I have worked at ad agencies, public relations firms and non-profits, assisting in marketing campaigns (large and small) and supporting brand development. I come from 6 years in the hospitality industry and in that time have managed to experience the multiple layers of events and their production (and have some humorous stories to prove it!).

This past Fall/Winter 2011, I was lucky enough to intern with the lovely ladies of a D.C. based wedding planning agency, and am eager to continue planning with enthusiasm and passion.

Originally from Allentown, PA, I attended college in Boston, MA before traveling down to D.C. a few years ago. In my free time I enjoy painting, playing tennis and nurturing my love for all things pretty.  I currently live in Fairfax, VA with my future husband and our "fluffy" (read: chunky) cat.

Yours Truly,

          Amy
